How much is my face worth?!

I was recently browsing some blogs and I came across what I thought was a really interesting post. Basically, the idea was to take a look at the specific makeup products that I use on a daily basis and list the names along with the retail values of each item. This fascinated me so much because I don't think we realize how much we truly spend on makeup. I know that I have many products that are rather expensive, but I have never broken down the price of each individual item and totaled them up to see how much my everyday routine is worth. With that being said, here is a list all of all the products that make up my daily routine!

Facial Products
Prime Time Foundation Primer - $22
Physicians Formula Bronze Booster - $15
Make Up Forever Powder Foundation - $32
Make Up Forever HD Foundation - $40
Make Up Forever Concealer - $30
Bare Minerals Bisque Concealer - $18
Total - $157
Cheek Products
Milani Luminoso Baked Blush - $8
NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder - $34
NARS Albatross Highlighting Powder - $28
Total - $70
Eye Products
Maybelline XXL Pro Mascara - $9
Urban Decay Naked Palette - $50
Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner - $20
Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner - $7
Bare Minerals Eyebrow Enhancer - $11
Stila Kitten Eyeshadow - $18
Urban Decay Primer Potion - $20
Bobbi Brown Corrector - $22
Total - $157
Lip Products
Nivea Milk & Honey Moisturizer - $3
Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish (Samantha) - $18
Total - $21

Overall Total = $405

To be completely honest, I am very relieved! I was expecting the total price to be well over $500, though the actual cost isn't very far off. Although this is a lot of makeup, this doesn't even begin to touch upon what's inside of my train case. I have so many products that I don't use everyday, but that I still keep at my disposal for special events or for when I simply want to change my look up a bit. If I were to add up all of the makeup that I had in total, I think I would be slightly afraid to see the final price of everything, so I think I'll steer away from doing so!

How much do you spend on makeup?
Do you think that it's worth it?

  1. Do you use all those foundations/concealers at the same time? I should do this! but I only use like 5-6 things total daily! Probably worth $80 total. I guess it's different because I don't really use eyeshadow daily! haha I feel like we need to go makeup shopping soon

    1. I just Googled it and it says that they are available in some locations in London, but I guess it would really depend on where you live. You might be able to find a site that ships internationally and order it through them though!

  21. This is an interesting post, I'm afraid to total up my face, but I'm sure it's not as much as yours! you have great makeup. I tend to keep the pricier makeup for weekend and special events. During the day i usually use drugstore makeup since I'm home often, unless I go to the mall I pack on the pricier look. lol
Thanks for following,l you have a great blog, following back =D

    1. Thank you! I think I'm going to do a post about the under eye concealer. I never realized how much of a difference it made to conceal under eye circles until I got this concealer. Honestly, the only concealer I have tried is this one but it is seriously amazing. A little pricey but the formula is so thick and smooth that it works perfectly to blend with your regular foundation. Just make sure that you get it a shad or two lighter than your skin tone so it can brighten up your complexion. I will let you know when I post before/after pictures of the concealer!

  29. I did some quick counting and to be honest I'm shocked. Since most of my make-up is from Chanel, YSL and Dior the total amount is probably over 1000. But it's totally worth it!
