So recently, I decided to order a bunch of Konad products off of Amazon (which is significantly cheaper than the Konad website if you are thinking of ordering any!) After having seen so many bloggers rave about the nail stamping system and since I am obsessed with my nails myself, I decided to give it a try. This is not my first time trying out the system, as I have tested it out a few times on myself as well as my friends, but this is the first time that I finally perfected the stamping! The nail polish that I used for this manicure was from Essie's Winter 2011 "Cocktail Bling" collection and is called "Size Matters." I must say, I find the name pretty funny and ironic, especially for such a bright, red nail polish.
The polish itself is a very creamy, blue-toned red, which makes it ideal for winter wear. The formula has the perfect balance of viscosity for a nail polish and I only needed two coats for it to be completely opaque. For this particular nail design, I used the "Konad white" nail polish and the M65 rose pattern to stamp on top of two coats of Essie's "Size Matters." After allowing the base polish and stamping polish to dry, I added a generous amount of "Seche Vite" for the top coat, which is perfect for manicures done with Konad as it does not smear the final design. Overall, I think this rose design is perfect for any occasion, but looks particularly pretty when done over a bright color with the white stamping polish!
What do you guys think? Have you ever tried Konad before?
If not, would you consider trying it out?
♥
This is cute! I've been debating on purchasing the konad products on amazon for a while now but I wasn't so sure how well they would turn out. I'm glad I saw this. I'll be buying one as soon as my shopping ban has ended! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHaha thank you! Honestly, I was really skeptical too because it just seems too perfect looking when I see other bloggers posting pictures using the stamping but it really is super easy once you get the hang of it! Good luck! Let me know if you end up going through with it :)
Deletelove your nails!
